Buy a Macbook Pro now or later?

I'm a college sophomore and have had my powerbook g4 since winter my senior year. I got it just before they introduced the macbook. I'm tired of it. I'm tired of the 80 gig HDD, and the general "old and outdated" feeling I get from it. I'm buying a Macbook pro either soon or at the end of summer. I'm giving my dad my powerbook so it's value doesn't matter. Paying for the computer would be easier in the summer when I'm working but I could manage now. So, are there any significant upcoming improvements anyone knows of that is coming to the macbook pro? I just don't want to look back at the end of summer and regret buying it.

Now would be a good time to buy one. The MacBook Pros were recently just updated and it's unlikely they'll get another update until next year.

Why do I have to pay double for Avon?

I was supposed to pay for the stuff I bought but I then I went on vacation for 2 weeks and missed the due date for payment. Now the Avon representative says I need to pay double my payment. Is that normal for all purchases that are late? Just so I know that the representative isn't ripping me off.

I am a rep and unit leader, and that is not customary. avon does not charge the rep double. that does not even make any sense. tell her you will pay for the bill that is due, if she doesn't like it, tell her you would like to just return everything then.

Consolidated Loan Question?

Im looking to consolidate my furniture bill at 1300 (financed at 115.0),a Macys card which is 765 at 24% interest, ( i know), and a 1100 dollar loan (not in my name) at 8 %. My Credit Union consilidates at 8.99. Is this worth it? I did the online calculations at at 36 months Id be paying less than 100 dollars. It helps to make one payment to one person at a low interest rate. I plan to overpay to get ahead.

If I do get approved, can I apply for a Credit Card at the same time. I dont have one and I want to build credit. I have a car note, a closed paid loan on my credit report, and one late Macys payment from years ago..What do you think?

Thanks...

I really dont suggest getting another card. While you are going through the consolidation, your other obligations are still reporting. I will suggest getting the loan and making monthly payments to your debtors. Less debt, more credit. One little card wont make a difference anyway. Repair what you have before you dig yourself into a really deep hole. And your Macy's card is a credit card. It is reporting to the bureaus.

My mom spent tons of money on me and I feel horrible?

Today while shopping for grocerys I told my mom that we could start eating healthier (she started a new diet) and somehow instead of spending about $100 on food we spent about $375. I felt horrible after, and my mom seemed kind of shocked but shrugged it off. (I cant ever tell what shes feeling though.) >.<

A couple hours later I asked her to take me out quick to pick up a magazine I was asking for for a couple of days now, and in the end we ended up paying about $100. I felt horrible again, and tried to convince myself that some of the stuff we bought was hers too. But I still feel awful and Im actually thinking about apologizing.

Is this normal? Im not sure why I feel this way all of a sudden, but I was just wondering is this was natural and some advice on what I should do to help make myself feel better.

Thanks so much!

Don't feel guilty if you were shopping for food and reasonable stuff. She is an adult and can say no. She knows what she can afford and what needs to be bought and what shouldn't. You didnt say how old you are but might I suggest you tell her how much you appreciate her. Try to back off of asking for stuff that isnt needed such as magazines. And maybe help around the house a little more. Make dinner using some of the healthy food that was just bought on nights that she works. Whatever you think you can do to lighten the load for her and show her that you appreciate her. Im sure she will be happier too. Good luck.

should i or should i not do this?

my sister wants "guitar hero 3" which is 100 dollars i think. she asked dad for 60 bucks and he gave it to her. now she wants to use my 40 bucks(the only money i have!) to get it. i was saving this for gifts for eveeryone for christmas. well i said: "ok. but you have to give me your 13 dollars and i'll pay for the rest." then she started crying! she didn't want to use her money so i gave her 3 dollars back and kept 10. so she has 3 dollars to her name and if i do buy this game later today i'll have 10 dollars to my name. do you think it's fair that i took her money to help pay? she wants to own part of it, well then she's gotta help pay. now she knows that money don't last very long. i babysat almost everyday this week from saturday till yesterday and only got 40 dollars. so is it fair or should i give her back her money?
she's still whineing over having to use her 10 bucks.
my sister is 9, by the way.

take back your 40 an let daddy handle it,not your problem
