An individual backed out of a vacation at the last minute. Should she still pay her share of the hotel room?
Three other college students and I were going to go on a trip to Disneyworld less than two weeks from now. One of them backed out yesterday with no prior warning (via text message, no less; she won't actually speak to any of us about it). Now, each of we three remaining indiviudals suddenly has to pay $77 more, which, although it may not sound like a lot, isn't just something that we students can come up with at the last minute. If we would have had more notice, we could have budgeted for the extra expense, but it's too late now.
Do you think that the right thing for the individual who backed out to do is pay for her $231 of the room? Thanks.
She didn't back out because of the expense at all. I am 100% certain of that. She backed out for various reasons, but mostly because she simply doesn't feel like going anymore.
yep because you all planned the trip on the basis that she would be included to pay a share of the room......her personal reasons should not matter because she took on the obligation when you all agreed to the trip.
I closed my Business account at the end of May in the branch signing all paperwork & paying in monies to bring balance to£0.00 but i had already transferred £30.00 from my pay pal account this went in days later bank said they would send money back in a cheque.I now know they did not close account used the £30.00 & made me overdrawn with charges and extra payments to my loan i have with them (which i was also paying out of my personal acc which i set up at the time i closed the account in the branch. The charges have been refunded back to account but they still have my money . I have told them i want the same charges applied to them as i had when overdrawn with them so £4.00 per day ( around £450.00) + commpensation for the inconvenience.
does this seem over the top/fair & are they likely to pay this.
I have rung them 7 times written 2 letters sent garunteed post
been lied to by them on several occassions & been spoken to quite rudely by one lady dealing with the matter
take them to court, small claims i think, its doubtful they would contest it.

How do I ask for help without getting in trouble with my parents? Read more.?
So, long story short I bought a visa gift card made some purchases on iTunes and then found out much later when trying to make more purchases that iTunes does not accept vanilla visa money gift cards(of course I was not informed of this while I was blowing $60 on music). Now I have $60 in music debt and of course iTunes won't let me pay it off with my iTunes gift cards I got for Xmas. I did receive $100 cash for Xmas and I am fully prepared to use it to pay off that money but the problem is I don't have a credit card. So I'd have to ask my parents to let me use them... how the heck do I do that without getting in trouble?!?!?! HELP! SOMEBODY!!!
Just confess what you did. You'll get in less trouble by doing that than by going through some elaborate scheme to pay some other way and getting caught in the end. Good luck!
