Best Buy credit card minimum payment ?

I keep getting different answers from people. Best Buys website says no interest for 3 years on $999 and up for tv's. It goes on to say "Required minimum monthly payment is the greater of $10 or 1% of balance plus billed finance charges plus any late fees."

My minimum payment shows $12 on a balance of about $1100. The "no interest" is good only if you pay it off in the specified time. If you don't pay the full balance, they will add interest from the date of original purchase (deferred finance charges). So, in reality, they don't want you to pay it off in the 36 months (in your case). The minimum payment they show will be insufficient to pay it off during that period, so you either need to pay more now, or a big lump sum at the end to avoid interest charges.

How long does it take for candy to go old?

I have to do a presentation in Japan this summer about Easter, and I want to give each of the students a little plastic Easter egg full of candy. Well...it's easy to get the Easter eggs, but I don't know if I should get the candy right now too. It would be cool if I had things in there related to Easter (like...skittles with little Easter bunnies on their packages or something like that) but I don't know if it would go old by the time I go. I'm going in July, so about 3-4 months... Will it get stale/hard before I go? I don't really mind buying candy later. My mom just thinks it would be fun to have the packaging relate to Easter.

Chocolate is usually good for a year, I say 6-8 months after the “holiday” it was sold at is probably a good bet. Some have expiration dates on them. Most importantly though is storing it. Cool, dark shelves are best. I’m not keen on stuff that’s been frozen (but maybe it’s just my freezer that smells).

Hard candies and other sugar candies can be good for 18 months.

Combination candies that have fillings or nuts in them might go bad sooner. I know that Cadbury Creme Eggs are finicky and can get chalky on this inside even in May or June.

Should I buy my own home now/later/or never?

ok - I am a single working mum with 2 children aged 10 & 13 and have been renting for the past 10 years after having to sell own home after divorce and being left with no $$$. I have discovered that I can borrow enough to buy a modest home and the repayments would not be that much more than what I am currently paying in rent/car loan if I can manage to get some funds together for fees etc.
It has always been my dream to own my own home as I am a mad renovator (bit hard when renting) however I am concerned about getting into the market at 44. I don't have any super either so retirement is not looking good. Is home ownership the way to go? Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
