What are some laptop websites i can buy laptops and netbooks on?
I need a laptop for work and stuff. I have been searching for a while now but havent found any websites that are useful yet. I need some help finding websites. PLEASE HELP!!!
bestbuy.com.....they have a pretty good selection, and you have the peace of mind of purchasing from a retail location. if anything ever goes wrong u can just return it or exchange it..true it might be a bit pricier than other online stores, but they have plenty of user comments regarding the laptops, and paying a little extra to know you won't be screwed over through the mail is in my opinion a bit better. every company has their good and bad laptops, personally i stick with sony, a bit pricier, but a good company.. i spilled a drink on my month old laptop, and they sent a sony representative straight to my home(from 2 hours away) and replaced the keyboard FOR FREE. you could probably get the same service from several other companies..but that right there made me love my choice that much more

If you click "buy now" on an item on Ebay, is that item automatically purchased by you? Please help!?
A few minutes ago i completed a purchase on a pair of shoes on ebay, complete with my address, credit card number, and everything.
The order went through, then I went to a page with some jeans on it, sizes 0 through 13. I clicked "buy now", thinking the order wouldnt go through automatically and wondering where i can choose the pant size, but it said "you have bought this item."
It then asked me if i wanted to pay now or later, so now im really confused as to if i really bought this item or not, because the quantity of the pants is now 1 less after i "purchased" them. I also didnt choose a pant size, so are they going to be delivered to my house any old size?
I am very confused and hope i didnt waste my money on this, please help me somebody.

would you tell people it's a fake diamond?
My girlfriend and I just bought a house and have spent a lot of money renovating it. We want to get married soon, so obviously needed to get engaged. She is particular about diamonds, and would want a high quality diamond if she ever got one and so because of our money situation we decided together on a diamond simulant from an internet wholesaler. For a fraction of the price of a real diamond (of the quality she would have wanted) we are still getting a really sparkly ring. We plan on buying a real diamond at a later stage in our lives when we have more disposable income.
If you were in our position, would you tell people it was fake? We don't really want to say how much we paid because we don't want to be judged by some of our friends for taking the 'cheap' route (even though it was the best scenario for us right now). Should she just say "i dont know" when people ask about specs and the price? Or should we be proud of our fake diamonds?
What would you say?
If you decide to tell people about your fake diamond you will notice some silly reactions from family and friends. For some reason people don't take it seriously that she will be wearing an imitation diamond. The truth is MANY people do it! If I was in your position I would either decide on a different stone (be original and purchase a nice blue sapphire for her center stone) or just tell people that it is real and you have the paperwork at home, but no matter what the color and clarity is its perfect to you. That answer will put smiles on peoples faces.

Buy on Ebay and resell on Amazon?
I was looking at some items on Ebay and comparing prices on Amazon. Here's my question: Is making money by buying stuff on Ebay and then reselling it on Amazon really as easy as it seems? For instance, I was looking at a set of DVDs from a popular TV series on Ebay. They're brand new with free shipping for $42.00 (w/ the "Buy It Now" option). The cheapest price for the exact same item on Amazon is $60.00. I've sold things on Amazon before, so I know what that entails. But I could easily make at least $15.00 by simply buying and reselling. Anyone have any experience with doing this?
I don't necessarily have personal experience re-selling, but I will issue this big ol' warning:
The quality of things you purchase on ebay is variable. What they say is a new boxed set of a tv series could really have had all the discs replaced with DVD-RW blanks and then re-shrinkwrapped. You could always open the package and check that the contents are good and functional, but then you can't sell it as 'new'
So you are welcome to try it, but unless you buy in bulk - you probably aren't going to make much after shipping charges kick in.
